Animal Care Daybreak was established by Dr. Pam Nichols. Her goal was to provide high-quality veterinary medicine in a place where all pets are treated like family members. Animal Care Daybreak was awarded AAHA® certification with honors that same year. AAHA certification and recognition are awarded to approximately 14% of hospitals nationwide that have demonstrated excellence in medicine, surgery, record keeping, and a commitment to continuing education and excellence.

We Have the Answers to Pet Care Concerns

Dr. Pam has always believed that every pet deserves the best care possible and every pet owner deserves the most information available in order to make the best decisions for his or her pet. To accomplish this, she has set the highest requirements for both the veterinarians and staff, in training and learning as well as instruction in the use of the newest equipment.

There may be times when you and your pet are referred to a specialist, either within our hospital or to another specialist facility. Animal Care Daybreak offers specialties such as acupuncture with Dr. Verona Scheurich, echocardiopraphy or endoscopy with Dr. Watkins, ultrasound with Dr. Archibald, or orthopedics with Dr. Smith. Outside specialty facilities we work with include the Eye Care Clinic for Animals in Salt Lake City.

Becoming a Cat Friendly Practice®

We love our feline friends! Our team is working hard to achieve certification from the American Association of Feline Practitioners AAFP as a Cat Friendly Practice. The Cat Friendly Practice program is designed to transform the delivery of feline veterinary care by:

  • Establishing standards of care to the feline population
  • Identifying trends and information essential for understanding cats
  • Acknowledging the essential role of the cat owner in the veterinary visit
  • Providing support to veterinarians and their teams to create a cat friendly environment
  • Helping introduce changes in care with a better understanding of the cat’s distinct needs and behaviors

Welcome to our Cat Friendly Practice.
